Diana Monroy was born and educated in Bogota, Columbia. She has lived in Southern California since 1991. At the age of 5 she started sitting and painting with her mother in their painting studio surrounded by palettes of china paints, German brushes, oils and the most exquisite white porcelain. Growing up meant to learn an array of painting techniques, mastering brush strokes and pen work on a daily basis. Like her mother she has made porcelain painting and teaching her professional passion and life.
Today she and her husband are the owners of QII London--a web-based business that focuses on custom hand-painted bathroom sinks and fixtures. She uses her natural talent and craftsmanship in every project, large or small. Every time she receives an order, she teaches her client what it means to paint porcelain and the value of acquiring a piece of art with lifetime satisfaction that only the finest hand-painting can provide. By doing so, and with every hand-painted piece she finishes, she promotes the recognition of china painting as a fine art. This is her legacy for us. When not working in the studio, she devotes her time to her husband, kids, and the care of her parents.
