Fresno Porcelain Artists organization was established in 1973 when 12 ladies would meet once a week to paint together their porcelain plates, cups, vases, etc. We now meet once a month at which time we'll have a guest artist to demonstrate and share their knowledge and love of our porcelain art.
The process of painting porcelain was developed over two thousand years ago. Each painting was followed by firing the porcelain in a kiln at an approximate temperature of 1350 degrees to mature the depth of color and details of the art.
