Our Objective: To become better artists, connoisseurs, and patrons of the fine art of China Painting, and to further the art by education and displays in public places.
The Camellia City Porcelain Artists club was established September 9, 1974.
We are the largest chapter of the California Association of Porcelain Artists and have approximately 70+ members.
We host many seminar instructors each year, and hold 18-27 seminars per year between our various seminar sites.
Our club also holds an annual tea in October where our members display and sell hand painted porcelain. We hold informal demonstrations, have a fund-raising raffle for a chosen charity, and a club fund-raiser raffle. And then there are the goodies, free to the members and public to round out our event.
Very active in public education, you can usually find at least one or more of us demonstrating at senior retirement centers, county fairs, and the California State Fair held in August at Cal-Expo. We also demonstrate and/or donate hand painted items for other public venues when asked to participate.
